The ruling party in Taiwan, W=which is leaded br President Ma agreed upon Cross-Strait Service Tarde treaty with Chinese officials without undergoing cautious evaluation and legal audit procedure. Furthermore, the ruling party forcefully approved the treaty within 30 seconds by means of violation of procedural justice. This action touched off discontent of thousands of Taiwanese citizens, which later intimated a massive group of student protestors occupied the legislative congress. The protestors requested for a temporary retrieval and a rather detailed evolution of the treaty before it would be executed.

Cross-Strait Service Treaty will urge open trades and competitions in various industries between Taiwan and China. It will have a major impact on each of the industries once when Chinese enterprises are allowed to invest or merge with Taiwanese enterprises without precse surveillance, service as well as other conventional industries. The protestors were deeply concerned that the treaty will further result in total manipulation in areas of economic, culture, democracy and freedom of speech by China.
After the incident occurred, many of Taiwan educational institutions announced their support for the student protestors. They suggested that Taiwanese officials ought to initiatively communicate with the mass and resolve the issue. Many Taiwanese college professors publically suppoted the students to attend this demonstration. Furthermore, some Taiwanese universities proclaimed their respect for the students and professors allowed hem to freely adjust their agenda in behalf of pursuing social justice. many of the professors joined the demonstration and hosted various civic forums for the student protestors. The number of protestors is estimated up to ten thousands. They firmly requested President Ma to express his will to reconsider the condition of the treaty. In the press conference that was hosted by President Ma on March 23 2014, he still proclaimed the treaty had to be passed and executed as soon as possible. Also, Legislative Yuan of Taiwan urgently held a consultation. Yet the ruling and opposition party could not reach a consensus. A hope of reconciliation between the protestors and the officials was eliminated.
On March 18, 2014. The student protestors occupied Legislative Yuan of Taiwan and requested the legislative committee retrieving and evalluationg the treaty in detail. They demanded Taiwanese officials to establish a monitoring mechanism for the treaty in behalf of national security. Thw demonstration was widely supported by a large number of people yet the officials did not respond to any of their requisitions. Thus the protestors attempted to occupy Executive Yuan of Taiwan. Nevertheless, Taiwanese officials ordered a group of riot control polices to arrest and expel the protestors. the injuries were esttimated up to 247people during this occurrence. What happened that night in Taipei was considered the most brutal political incident within past 20 years.
Taiwan has been considered a rather democratic country in Asia. Yet a series of injustice actions being taken by the ruling government initiated a major scale of public censure. Many Taiwanese people even considered the incident resembling the darkest day of Taiwanese Democracy. This demonstration leading by students is called"Sunflower Revaluation". It appears a lot like the Velvet Revaluation in Czech Republic back in 1989. This protest was also widely supported by students from Macau and Hong Kong. They yearned for Taiwan to keep up with its democracy and freedom in the face of Chinese economic and political invasions.
